In 2013, in partnership with Polisyus, TEGA provided DEH with Grates, Pulp Discharger and Trommel for a major gold mine in Brazil. Initially the wear-life agreed to was 4750 hours,however, when DEH performance exceeded 10,000 hours of operation, we were requested to work to develop FEH and SHELL proposals to convert from Steel Liners.
A complete and detailed process of analysis using EDEM and other tools was done by TEGA Sales Support in order to define the most appropriate application profile.
The final design of the Liner for FEH and SHELL was a composite liner design and shell plate.
In order to provide greater confidence to our customer, we invited them to visit some of the plants that have a similar liner configuration installed and with similar operating conditions. They agreed to visit two of our key accounts in Canada which were chosen due to the similarity of the overall operating conditions, mill size, tonnage and process. During these visits, TEGA facilitated the operators meeting to discuss many technical issues and sharing of some best practice ideas.Following the visit, the technical team of our Brazil customer had no doubt regarding their decision to use TEGA. We went on to meet all commercial and technical requirements and secured the order commitment for future supply.
