Air blasters remove and prevent blockages and build up of bulk material in hoppers, bins and chutes. A quantity of compressed air at 4-8 bar is released in a few milliseconds as a blast into the bin at the position of the blockage. The suddenly released energy frees the compacted material and the free flow of the material is restored. By firing air cannons in adjustable sequence by means of a sequential timer, blockages can be avoided and the full capacity of the hopper or bin utilized. The plant can run uninterruptedly. As the quantity of air is very small in proportion to the storage bin or hopper, the energy of the blast is dissipated and absorbed by the material. There will be no damage whatsoever to the structure. |
