In its quest to be a Total Solution™ provider in the mineral processing industry, Tega has tied up with the Institute of Minerals & Metals Technology, Bhubaneswar, India for Column Floatation technology. Beneficiation of high ash oxidised non-coking coal was patented in 2003.

The design of the Column Floatation has been patented and the technology will assist our customers in beneficiating fine particles of ore in the most economical way possible. The adoption of this technology is synergistic with our hydro cyclone product line. We are of the opinion that use of both cyclones and columns in conjunction will lead to additional recoveries at a lower cost compared to conventional methods.

Apart from Iron ore which has extensive use for the above technology, Columns are widely used in the beneficiation of graphite, copped, lead and zinc ores amongst others.

To date, columns using our technology have been installed in Rajpur Dariba Mines of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Utkal Graphite Limited and for Antimoni beneficiation.
