About Grinding

In a mineral dressing plant, a grinding mill shell and heads are constantly subjected to severe impact and abrasion sue to the motion of ore and the grinding media. Hence it needs to be protected by a replaceable lining that takes care of any wear and conserves the strength of the mill structure.

Tega introduced specialized rubber grinding mill lining technology in 1976.With more than 30 years of experience in the field of rubber lining systems, we have established the use of rubber liners in grinding mills in the ore dressing industry. With its powerful technology upgrade and vast database Tega liners have been able to outperform and replace, traditionally accepted steel liners. In terms of specific cost continuous research process has off late added metal embedded liners and rubber grid liners for tough duty requirements. Each mill liner is custom designed to suit the duty application.

Tega rubber liners have also been replacing traditional stone lining in Batch and Continuous mills within the ceramic industry.

Tega is the undisputed leader in the field of wear resistant rubber liners today. Tega liners serve more than 300mills in major mineral plants around the world, with optimized, tailor-made liner solutions.

Batch Mill (0) -  These are small grinding mills which operate in time bound batch mode using either forged or cast or ceramic balls for size reduction of the feed materials. Most application of the mills are found in the ceramic industry operating in a dry process.
Pebble Mill (0) -  Grinding mills where size reduction of materials is achieved by use of either natural riverbed pebbles or scats from the upstream FAG mills, as the grinding media are known as pebble mills/lump mills or secondary FAG mills.
Continous (Ceramic Mill) (1) -  These are small grinding mills which operate in time bound batch mode using either forged or cast or ceramic balls for size reduction of the feed materials. Most application of the mills are found in the ceramic industry operating in a dry process.

FAG / SAG Mill (2) -  FAG MILL – In the communition process where competent feed rock lumps are utilized in the mill as the grinding media without any metal supplement is known as Autogenous grinding and the mills involved in the process are known as fully autogenous mill or FAG mill. SAG Mill – In the communition process where small amount of forged balls are added with feed rocks to make a composite and sustainable grinding media required for the process is known as semi-autogenous grinding. Mills utilized in this process are known as Semi autogenous grinding mills or SAG mill.

Primary/ Secondary Ball Mill / Regrind Mill (2) -  These are grinding mills where communition is achieved by using the cast or forged balls as the grinding media. Depending on the size of the feed handled, they can be categorized as primary, secondary or regrind ball mills. Ball mills find there application in both wet and dry mineral beneficiation. Tega provides customized rubber and metal embedded rubber (PM) grinding mill lining system depending on the duty conditions. Ball mill liners are extensively used in various mineral beneficiation plants, steel and cement industries.
